About the Position:

A fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, driving integrated, adaptive, innovative and sustainable sewage treatment solutions and services for the City of Gold Coast. This is a critical role within the Water and Waste division and will have you running your own projects and involved in the design and build of future plants. In addition to this, you will be responsible for short and long term strategic planning, providing process engineering support, resource quality of the City's four sewage treatment plants and you will play a key role help the city achieve its vision of managing resources for a sustainable future.

About You:

You are a goal focused engineer with the ability to self-manage and deliver results in a dynamic, demanding, and fast paced environment. You will be a motivated, positive, quality focused team player with the ability to hold your own and support others when required to meet deadlines. You will be looking to be involved in, and actively contribute to, a range of exciting and varied projects, taking ownership for your role.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or environmental science
  • Substantial experience in research, planning and/or design of sewage treatment plants
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (Planning not Operational)
  • Direct Involvement in Innovative STP/biosolids/bioresources planning
  • Proven examples of process optimisation
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and thrives on innovatively solving problems in a complex environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage a range of diverse tasks, establish work priorities and meet deadlines, in a high-pressure environment.
