An exciting opportunity now exists with one of our Local Government clients for an experienced and dynamic Senior People and Culture Officer based in the beautiful Clarence Valley. The Senior People and Culture Officer provides expert advice in all aspects of human resource management and works collaboratively with the People and Culture Team and across the organisation to build organisational capability and deliver effective end-to-end employee lifecycle activities that supports the people and strategic direction.

Why the team needs you:
  • Support the employer-employee relationship by developing and maintaining strong and positive relationships with supervisors to ensure effective management of staff.
  • Develop engaging and contemporary strategic policies and programs for the provision of effective 'employee lifecycle' processes relating to attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, training, retention, and separation.
  • Support and assist in the development and implementation of staff related policy and procedures that support the achievement of organisational outcomes and reflect current industry best practice.
  • Support implementation and achievement of workforce management strategy and the sections operational plan goals and objectives.
What you'll bring to the team:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline; and equivalent relevant industry (local government experience is highly desirable)
  • Current Drivers Licence is essential
