Due to our client's ongoing success, there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical/Control Systems Engineer to join the organisation at their Gold Coast office.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will have strong experience in automation or the manufacturing industry in addition to project management, system and electrical design, programming of various PLC, RTU, and SCADA systems, implementation, factory testing, and on-site testing and commissioning.

Only RPEQ candidates will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, modify and approve electrical design plans and work schedules
  • Establishing strong relationships with internal and external suppliers
  • Liaise with other engineers and clients to ensure projects are completed to specifications
  • Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes
  • Act on opportunities to grow the business through customer relationship management and high-quality project delivery

To be considered for this role, you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Machine controls or similar field
  • Current RPEQ and Member of Engineers Australia
  • Proven experience in electrical design including fault level, load flow, harmonic analysis, volts drop, cables and equipment sizing, rating, and specification
  • Practical experience in Industrial Automation, PLC Programming, Robot Programming
  • Experience working in Automation or Manufacturing industries is highly regarded

Essential Skills

  • Machine Assembly, Testing, Commissioning, and Installation
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills
  • Experience with Solid Edge and/or other 3D CAD packages is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability and experience in machine assembly, testing, and commissioning are preferred
