Our client provides full project service from concept to completion that includes design, manufacture, site construction/installation, project management, and commissioning.

Due to significant growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical/Structural Designer to join the team in either Rockhampton or Emerald.

The role will involve a wide variety of projects requiring you to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Experience within one or more of the following industries is ideal; Process plant design, Structural detailing and design, Piping design, Concrete detailing and design, and/or Materials handling design.

The Role:

  • Site data collection and site dimensioning
  • Site meetings and regular correspondence with clients
  • Detailed design of both Structural and Mechanical equipment to AS1657, AS4024, AS4100, and other relevant ISO and Australian standards
  • Producing fabrication drawings and detailed arrangements
  • Liaising with clients on design, scope requirements, and variations to scope
  • Working to a budget and strong time management
  • Working closely with other designers and engineers on projects

Your Background:

  • Strong 3D modelling software skills (Inventor or Advance Steel preferred)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the application of Australian standards
  • Site data collection experience
  • High level of English communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Fast and accurate design skills with high attention to detail
