Leading NFP in the community housing sector is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing & Communications Manager who is immediately available to start for 4 - 6 month contract. The Snr Marketing & Communications Manager will report to the Head of People & Culture and will have no direct reports.

They are currently in the process of a merger and the Senior Marketing & Comms Manager will work with team members from both of the merging organisations with a primary focus on the merger activities, especially the rollout of the new brand.

This role will be both strategic and hands-on, working with the team across external and internal communications, campaigns, events, media and public relations, website management, email marketing, and social media. The position requires strong leadership, brand experience, generalist marketing and communications skills, project management experience and versatility to adapt to the changing environment of the merged organisation. Experience in rebranding, graphic design, brand and marketing performance measurement and reporting is highly desirable.

Key Duties:

  • Use data and insights to develop campaigns and strategies to reach business, merger, brand, and marketing and communications goals
  • Lead the rebranding of existing communications and assets
  • Produce, write, review and edit effective content, communications, campaigns and assets, ensuring it is relevant to the target audience and channel
  • Oversee the production of content and communications by liaising with external suppliers (e.g. graphic designers, printers, and web and multimedia developers)
  • Set KPIs, capture and report on results
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide detailed briefings to them where their input is required
  • Manage the relevant budgets for the team or in partnership with other senior team members
  • Work with the team to leverage digital marketing for the roll-out of the brand, marketing and communication strategies
  • Support the team with the strategy and execution of integrating the social media platforms and ongoing social media management
  • Support with the development of the new website and ongoing website management
  • Support the team with EDMs, SMS and other digital communications
  • Work with the team and the PR agency to develop and execute PR programs that drive marketing and business objectives, including brand launch plans
  • Lead and/or support with corporate events and sponsorships where required
  • Implementation and management of best practices policies and processes

Skills and Attributes:

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in marketing and/or communications in a fast-paced environment
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing and/or communications
  • Proven experience in developing communications, brand, and marketing strategies
  • Proven experience in translating strategy into successful communicable brand messages, campaigns, collateral and, assets
  • Working and up to date knowledge of various digital marketing, social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • Rebranding experience will be highly regarded
