Our client:

Global organisation in the mining industry with highly complex environments requires a Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) for identifying, leading and implementing improvement projects for daily maintenance execution to ensure the on-going success of the business, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, Monday to Friday 40 hour average week.

Relocation to Bunbury will also be offered.

Accountabilities:

  • The provision of technical support and scopes of work for the repair of static and rotating equipment on site
  • Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and provide practical solutions and repairs.
  • The provision of engineering expertise on complex or large maintenance activities
  • To support improvement in quality and efficiency of maintenance activities.
  • Performing engineering design calculations as required to relevant standards
  • Developing maintenance replacement capital submissions for assets at the end of life cycle
  • Assist in developing maintenance procedures, methods, and testing.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need to possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline
  • Chartered Professional (CP) Engineer or equivalent desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards
  • Significant experience in the maintenance of fixed plant equipment such as pressure vessels,
    tankage, refractory lined vessels and pumping and piping systems
  • Previous experience in leading equipment improvement or replacement projects
  • Ability to communicate well and prioritise activities in an operational setting
