A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Facilities Service Officer to join a busy QLD Government team with some upcoming policy projects.

About the role:

  • Project manage the acquisition, disposal and leasing of Government properties
  • Manage and negotiate contracts both for the procurement and sale of property assets in accordance with whole of Government legislation, policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate information pertaining to departmental acquisitions, disposals and leases and report on the status
  • Liaise and negotiate with a range of external and internal clients about property and real estate matters

About you:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary government property management legislation, policies and procedures and capacity to provide professional advice relevant to real estate and property management.
  • Proven ability to meet client needs including the ability to manage allocated resources in the areas of facilities and assets in order to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Proven ability to operate within a high-pressure environment, working autonomously and as a member of a team, and establish productive partnerships with external and internal clients to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • Proven ability to ensure best practice in the development, implementation and review of strategies, policies and procedures and to be responsive to emerging departmental needs.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and consultation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain mutually productive partnerships with clients, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise SAP and Microsoft Excel.
