Chandler Macleod is working with a leading organisation who currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Transport Engineer for a full-time position located in Port Macquarie NSW.

About the Opportunity
As the Senior Transport Engineer, you will be familiar with the challenges of providing essential community infrastructure in a systematic, efficient and accommodating manner. The ideal candidate will be motivated, self-efficient and pragmatic, while understanding the balancing needs of technical and legislative requirements with the needs of the community.

On a typical day, the Senior Transport Engineer will:

  • Review and provide critical input into studies, plans and designs essential for efficient management of the city's transport infrastructure.
  • Plan, develop and manage the implementation of transport infrastructure projects including design, budgetary and timing considerations.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners on the city transport infrastructure requirements.
  • Provide responses to Councillors and the Community on important transport issues affecting the community

This is a full time, permanent role, with remuneration in the range of $102,494--$115,352 per annum (depending on skills and experience), plus 9.5% superannuation. The role is 35 hour a week, with access to the Flexible Working Hours policy.
A vehicle option is available to the successful candidate and a 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance is payable.

About the Transport and Stormwater Engineering Planning Team
The Transport and Stormwater Engineering Planning team sits within the Infrastructure Planning group and is focussed on forward planning for transport (roads, footpaths and bridges) and stormwater infrastructure, works programs, service plans, modelling and asset management.
