We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for one of our key construction clients based in Perth.

This is an exciting local role which would see you getting involved in a variety of large and complex projects. This position offers the opportunity to join a growing, successful organisaton and work on some great national projects of substantial stature.

Reporting into the Associate Director of Operations you will have a solid understanding of electrical principles, standards and codes within Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical services design from concept, feasibility study to detail design, contract documentation and construction documentation.
  • Perform electrical engineering detail design calculations such as Powercad, AGI32 and Dialux.
  • Produce Concepts and detailed designs in line and with client requirements.
  • Able to review and understand the project 3D model and architectural design drawings in relation to building services.
  • Deliver high quality technical design within scope, timeframe and budget.
  • Review vendor/manufacturer's documentation.
  • Provide technical support to the onsite construction team, projects department and estimating department.
  • Conducting value engineering (VE) exercises on projects.
  • Be familiar with and understand the relevant Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia/NCC.
  • Client liaison and management skills.
  • Manage projects including coordination with other services.
  • Client and external design team liaison.
    Skills required:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in electrical engineering within the building services.
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring a team.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • CPEng, NER, and RPEQ certification will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Highly developed proficiency in electrical building services engineering in line with the NCC and Australian Standards.
  • Working knowledge of drafting tools such as AutoCAD. Understanding of REVIT would be advantageous.
  • Strong project management and services coordination experience.
