We are currently seeking for a Senior Communications Advisor on behalf of our prominent client in the mining industry for a 6-month contract with the possibility to extend.
The Senior Communications Advisor will be responsible for developing an engaging, inspiring and creative communication strategy and suite of material in support of the strategy and creating a more caring and courageous and curios culture.
 
About the role:
  • Support the Leadership team in the development of a comprehensive communications strategy to support successful execution of programmes, with on time delivery and in support of broader cultural change.
  • Support shaping the group-wide bigger picture/strategic messaging of the importance of great leadership at Rio Tinto. We aim to connect and inspire leaders through storytelling and thought leadership discussions
  • Be responsible for working in partnership with relevant members of PG and / or Functional communications teams to ensure an integrated approach, especially around the Leader Experience and Leadership Development programmes
  • In consultation with the Project Lead, this role will ensure a deep understanding of leader audiences and key stakeholders relevant to the programme to enhance communications approaches and activities
  • The role will provide strategic communications advice and prepare and deliver a range of written, digital and video materials. These may include: Programme Narratives, Stories, Guides and supporting tools/materials, such as tips and conversations and Applying new technologies
 
About You:
  • Proven ability to provide strategic communications advice and recommendations to senior management, across a complex global portfolio
  • Proven ability to deliver integrated communications plans including detailed stakeholder analysis
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing and measuring communication strategies for transformational programmes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to tailor communications for different channels and audiences
  • Strong experience in creative communications, including use of compelling storytelling to inspire and create positive change
  • Experience in producing engaging video content and interactive digital communications materials
  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to communicate creatively, clearly and succinctly
