This large infrastructure organisation based in Western Sydney is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to partner with the FP&A team and Senior Stakeholders on a permanent basis.

The Commercial Analyst will partner with the FP&A team for revenue reporting and forecasting; long term/ 5-year planning, budgeting and quarterly forecasting; analytical review; monthly management reporting; process improvement; corporate modelling support and various other ad-hoc analysis when necessary.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting: Produce monthly management flash report, board and shareholder reports and analysis; respond to shareholder queries
  • Proactively provide financial and non-financial data analysis and modelling, to drive business insights which improve business performance, from disparate data sources and owners
  • Planning and Forecasting: Support FP&A team with all planning and forecasting process which includes coordinating the planning process; assisting with workshops; assisting to run reports that support the board papers and presentations; assisting with various other ad-hoc planning analysis and support
  • Understand the business strategy and support initiatives critical to delivering the strategy
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and change management across the business

    Minimum Qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Master level skills with excel data manipulation (eg macros etc)
  • Specialised professional with demonstrated experience in a similar / professional role including but not limited to the following industries; Construction, Consulting, Energy / Electrical, Financial Services, Utilities.
  • High level of technical competency with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
