Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Senior Client Services Librarian start ASAP to 23/12/2022.

About the Role:

This position reports to the Director, CHS Library & Multimedia and is primarily responsible for reference and research services, client training and the efficient and effective delivery of library client services.

You will:

  • Manage and undertake in-depth reference and research services using your research experience and preferably your health and medical subject matter expertise to support CHS Library & Multimedia clients.
  • Plan, prepare and conduct client training programs in the effective use of library e-resources, services, and digital literacy, virtually and face-to-face, and develop training support documentation. Develop online training modules to support client information and research literacy, and client online access issue resolution.
  • Perform rostered service desk duties and client service activities in collaboration with other library staff and provide technical and professional guidance to team members in these service areas - Tier 1 technical troubleshooting, acquisitions, cataloguing, document supply, collection maintenance and administration and procedure development.
  • Promote library services to clients using virtual and traditional marketing tools and collect and organise evidence-based information for specific client groups disseminating via digital channels
