We are currently recruiting for a Senior Client Service Officer for our client, a Community Housing organisation based closed to Sydney CBD. This is a newly created, full time permanent position with a salary of $82k + super + salary packaging. Please note that experience within the social or community housing sector is an essential requirement for this role.

Reporting into the Head of Housing, this role is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on the provision of high quality housing services by the Housing Services Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing success of the Housing Services Team by assisting with the development and implementation of the business and operational plans and related programs and projects.
  • Monitor adherence to the relevant Housing policies and procedures
  • Monitor targets relevant to the effective management of rent assessments and rent arrears, former tenant debt, vacancies and voids, bonds and recharges.
  • Help to coordinate periodic inspection of properties.
  • Support the continual improvement and development of services offered to tenants by implementing initiatives that support sustainable tenancies.
  • Support the Head of Housing Services by providing accurate data as requested to support decision making, business planning and to meet corporate governance obligations
  • Assist to drive the company culture and performance
  • Increase the profile and reputation of the organisation by attending networking functions, inter-agency meetings and forums and being an active member of the community housing sector.


Key Requirements:

  • Previously employed or acted up at a Team Leader or Senior Client Service Officer level within Social or Community Housing
  • Cert IV in community services or related field is desirable
  • Highly organised with an ability to report data accurately
  • Sound understanding of relevant regulations, policies and procedures
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively in a range of settings
