Our client AGL Energy are recruiting an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join them on a 6-month contract. Reporting to and working closely with the Improvements Lead within the Credit and Affordability Business Unit, this team is responsible for the delivery of innovative solutions to enable customers to pay their bills on time, credit accounts and offer alternatives for those requiring more time to pay or further assistance. The team's responsibility extends to managing and driving technology delivery and governance of systematic change for the Credit and Affordability business.


You will be specifically for the delivery of Refund and Open Credit tactical and strategic digital solutions. The Refunds and Open Credits program of work will require a pragmatic approach to ensure we cover the immediate need of the business whilst considering the long-term enterprise solution. The initiatives within the program are multifaceted and will require you to cover all aspects of legal and regulatory adherence and the identification of process, operational and systematic improvements all whilst ensuring the best customer experience and the social licence responsibilities of AGL. You will take end-to-end accountability for overseeing analysis activities from ideation to execution.


Key accountabilities of this role

  • Business analysis and initiative delivery including Business Requirements Elicitation and As-Is & To-Be process mapping
  • Stakeholder Management & Team Support
  • Delivering Value contributing to the strategic business objectives for credit & affordability
  • Creating efficiencies driving down operating expenses and implementing improvements that have a positive cost/benefit return
  • Supporting Quality, Compliance & Governance including supporting the implementation, audit, and assessments of a quality assurance framework


Qualifications, key skills, and experience required

  • Process knowledge in credit management and collections, particularly within the energy industry
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, being able to influence outcomes, align individual perspectives and resolve issues or conflict toward a favorable outcome
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and identify clear and measurable outcomes
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced ability to think independently, and diplomatically challenge assumptions
