Working with a state Government department tasked with helping the community respond to emergency events. You will be working within a busy unit responsible for the provision of high-level strategic advice and support to business areas and key stakeholders with a focus on continuous improvement and organisational design. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be a key member of the team responsible for managing and implementing a range of analysis activities to support the implementation of a new model that will directly support operational requirements.


  • Experience in business analysis for organisational design and structural projects
  • Work with stakeholders to capture business needs and translating requirements into User stories in a simple format that all stakeholders can understand.
  • Document end user journeys, process mapping from as-is analysis to future state processing and improving end user experience.
  • Use and work with software platforms such as Visio, O365, Teams and SharePoint
  • At least 5 years experience working as a Business Analyses, within an organisational design and operating model change projects
  • Analyse business requirements, rostering systems, process performance, and technical solutions to conduct gaps analysis and provide recommendations to the team.


  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • High level engagement skills including planning, communication (written and oral), presentation, facilitation, evaluation and requirements writing.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities.
  • Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of complex cases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
