The Role

We have partnered with a highly reputable mining investment organisation to recruit a Business Development professional to join their Business Strategy & Planning Division. This position is a business creation focused role that is responsible for assessing and developing frameworks for new Business Development energy transition opportunities in Australia, taking into account the urgent need for decarbonisation initiatives. This will include undertaking market and business environment analysis and research into new potential areas for investment, and managing initiatives relating to social and environmental values.

The Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategy building and new EX business development initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing internal/external expectations/coordination.
  • Support and participate in market research
  • Support in assessing the business environment dynamics

Experience

  • Experience in Business development and creation
  • Strategy building
  • Analytical experiences (i.e. assessment of longer-term industry dynamics).
  • Understanding of energy transition dynamics
  • Understanding of the coal/steel industry
