Our client is a leading, state Government department in Brisbane who are currently implementing the roll out of a new system and program. We are seeking to engage an experienced training professional to plan, develop, and deliver multiple training programs across varied audiences in preparation for the system roll out.

As the Senior Advisor of Training and Development, you will identify and analyse training needs, and develop and deliver fit for purpose training programs and learning initiatives. In addition, the role will engage with and provide authoritative advice on training practices and methodologies to key stakeholders and work collaboratively with suppliers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of the training aspects across all operators and operating teams involved in the system roll.

Accountabilities include:

  • Conduct training needs/gap analysis to identify opportunities for training and development.
  • Design and develop blended training programs and learning initiatives
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate face to face training, in corporate offices and on geographically-diverse sites and identify appropriate delivery methods and learning mediums to ensure effective and fit for purpose interventions.
  • Evaluate and report on training outcomes against business performance requirements; maintain accurate training and assessment documentation in line with record management policy.
  • Contribute to the development of management plans and training activities to support go live and post go live events across the life of the program.
  • Support, collaborate and engage with key stakeholders, relevant subject matter experts and suppliers towards delivering successful program outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV in training and assessment desirable
  • Proven experience developing and delivering training programs for complex organisations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational capability with effective time management
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Experience in developing survey instruments to assess training effectiveness
  • Passion for continuous learning
