Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Security Governance on a contract for 3 Months, with potential extension.

Position Overview

The EL1 Security Governance Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing Emergency Management requirements of client's property portfolio.

The position will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the client's objectives.

The EL1 Security Governance Coordinator is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the client to advance the client's interests across a range of forums.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and documenting Emergency Management preparedness requirements according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities)
  • Consolidating a list of preparedness requirements for each site, including but not limited to:
    • Emergency Warden Training
    • Emergency Signage
    • Conduct of Emergency Evacuation Rehearsals.
  • Ensuring effective services and reporting requirements are maintained by the Emergency Management provider and Property Services provider.
  • Developing and managing a monitoring and corrective action compliance system for all elements of Emergency Management Preparedness, including services provided by external parties.
  • Developing and managing administrative processes to ensure appropriate service delivery and reporting is maintained by the Emergency Management provider and Property Services provider.
  • Developing, implementing and managing a compliance and corrective action system to ensure all standards are met at all sites (including co-located sites) according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities).
  • Assisting with logistical and administrative requirements during emergency situations, in support of the client's Emergency Response and Recovery Committee.
