Our client AGL energy are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis. About this role
We are a growing a talented project team looking to make a difference from within an evolving AGL. If you have experience in or would like to work on initiatives delivering demands across Regulatory, Cybersecurity and Transformation or if you have worked in industry regulated sectors such as energy, utilities, telecommunications, logistics or other infrastructure pillars in a similar capacity we would love to hear from you.

As Senior BA you will be joining project team within the Cybersecurity space dedicated to support uplift and transformation to enhance AGL's security posture. This, like much of our delivery and transformation work, needs someone who can guide business and partner teams and bring them along for the journey so they too are an ambassador of the security scope we are delivering and what it means for them and the company. We are looking for a passionate doer, someone who is can be pivotal in supporting the end-to-end delivery of complex and simple initiatives.

You'll have:

  • Exposure or ability to gain an understanding of key security domains; logging and monitoring (incl detection), incident response, identity and access management, risk and compliance, networking (cloud based, self hosted virtualised environments, OT networks (Purdue model), and configuration management;
  • Ongoing awareness of risk and compliance activities to support the Security Uplift Program delivers a consistent and high-calibre approach to risk and compliance management. Many of our Cyber initiatives align to support obligations and requirements relating to energy sector security frameworks and federal critical infrastructure legislation;
  • Experience with a well established cybersecurity controls or compliance framework; NIST 800-53, AESCSF, ASD Essential 8, US Energy Dept C2M2. Australian Privacy Principles;
  • Knowledge of incident management in ITIL terms;
  • A refined a conflict resolution skillset - independent, proactive & professional defusal of conflict involving self or others;
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Highly developed ability to think independently, and diplomatically challenge assumptions;
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and effectively manage expectations across own team and stakeholders;
  • Consistently plans ahead in a collaborative manner, ensuring stakeholder input is obtained with sufficient lead time to support delivery outcomes.
