Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Secretariat Manager on a contract for 3 months with potential extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Aged and Community Care Officials (ACCO) meeting which occur quarterly which includes but is not limited to
    • Negotiating agenda items
    • Coordinating and finalising papers
    • Arranging meeting date, time, location and equipment
    • Writing of meeting minutes and action items
    • Following up on action items
  • Providing Secretariat support at additional forums across the Branch as required
  • Writing communications for our stakeholders
  • Arranging logistics which support webinars, roadshows and meetings
  • Working closely with colleagues, stakeholders and delivery partners to contribute to the planning of new policy implementation and transition arrangements.
  • Contributing to the project management and administrative activities of the section.

Key Capabilities:

  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of current and emerging areas of aged care programs and policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, experience in preparing a range of written materials and tailoring messages and style to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve results to meet program objectives within tight timeframes.
  • Experience with or the ability to quickly learn project planning practices and maintenance of key project documentation.
