Chandler Macleod is on the hunt for a Sales and Charter Specialist to work within their clients Brisbane airport head office. The role is full time working Monday to Friday. Our client is an industry leader in the aviation industry providing aircraft charter solutions and services for over 25 years to a wide range of clients including, Government, airlines, corporate, FIFO logistics, cargo, luxury travel and VIPs. The successful applicant will have previous experience working within a charter or aviation environment, strong interpersonal skills, initiative and charisma. A strong focus on attention to detail, ability to think outside the box and match it all with a strong work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure. The position requires sales activities by phone, email, events, conferences and other pipelines with the successful candidate being a key factor in building long-term loyalty with existing and new clients.

What your day will involve:

  • Customer consultation and sales.
  • Generating quotes for client requests.
  • Potential domestic and international travel.
  • Liaising with external operators and suppliers.
  • Management and coordination of charter flights.
  • Liaison between airport/airline staff and key stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have the following traits:

  • Previous travel, logistics, and/or aviation experience.
  • Ability to operate common Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding people skills and a exceptional phone sales manner.
  • Experience within a charter specialist role will be highly advantageous.
  • High attention to detail with ability to clearly organize schedules and tasks.
  • Previously held a customer service/client relationship management type role.
  • Strong ability to think strategically in complex scenarios with a high level of tenacity and patience.

Although a small team of aprox 15 people, our client produces high quality and high-volume service to many players within the aviation industry sometimes on short notice and with high monetary value and importance.
