Chandler Macleod is working with a leading NSW State Government organisation who currently have an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Road Access Coordinator based in Coffs Harbour or Grafton.

Major duties and responsibilities:
  • As the Road Access Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and coordinating access to roads and highways, ensuring safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians
  • Developing and implementing access control policies and procedures for granting and revoking access to roads and highways
  • Working closely with various internal stakeholders, including those managing freight to effectively manage conflicting priorities
  • Provide advice on suitable routes and locations for planned activities while identifying potential hazards and traffic congestion
  • Review Road Occupancy licence permit arrangements and recommend changes to legislation and policy to support the efficient and effective management of access to the transport network
Essential requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Transport and/or Traffic Management or related discipline
  • Sound knowledge of key processes for the maintenance and construction of major projects and infrastructure and experience with transport and/or traffic management techniques and devices
  • Sound knowledge of the NSW transport system, including the Australian Road Rules, Heavy Vehicle National Law and the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and heavy vehicle permits
