Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Risk Project Officer on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join Strategy and Support in Law Design and Practice Group. Law Design and Practice Strategy and Support provides a range of services to staff and senior management in the LDP group. Our clients are a dynamic group with broad responsibilities spanning the ATO. We work with stakeholders to develop end to end solutions from a business and client perspective. We are passionate about providing a professional service with a focus on utilising enterprise technologies and tools to deliver a contemporary service.

A key priority for the Law Design and Practice Group is the development of a key risks register and framework. The successful candidate will provide risk management services including but not limited to assisting with development of intelligence needs in relation to risk, assisting in the development of treatment and evaluation plans and assisting in the conduct of strategy evaluations. They conduct current and evidence-based risk assessments on both known and emerging risks and support less experienced employees to achieve outcomes. They identify, resolve or apply treatments to mitigate issues. They provide technical expertise to support the development of risk rules and models and to detect risk, score and prioritise clients

  • Contribute to the management of project scheduling and dependency management across the risk project
  • Contribute to monitoring the risk project and work progress; and managing priorities in an efficient manner that is flexible to the needs of the stakeholders, whilst maintaining a focus on outcomes.
  • Contribute to risk workshops and support business owners complete risk documentation using expert knowledge and experience.
  • Research, analyse and evaluate information to support effective risk management and decision making
  • Develop risk management strategies, policies and guidelines to manage risk
  • Liaise with stakeholders on complex matters and provide advice and recommendations to support risk management
  • Design treatment plans and processes in risk management to progress outcomes
  • Identify impacts on the risk environment and make recommendations to achieve and improve business outcomes
  • Deal with uncertainty in a positive and flexible manner, share information with others and contribute expertise in risk management across the Law Design and Practice Group.
