The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is looking to engage a Risk Officer for a contract term of 6 months with a well-established University. This role will be based in Richmond with flexible working arrangements on offer.

Job Specification

In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Maintain the Enterprise Risk Management Framework components
  • Establish Risk Appetite Statements, controls assurance, including associated reporting and risk software (Protecht)
  • Oversee and manage the use of risk software across schools and business units for the completion of divisional, portfolio and project related risk assessments
  • Continually reviewing and looking at improving the useability of risk software
  • Draft risk reports for Chief Audit & Risk Officer
  • Supporting the building of a strong community of risk management across the organisation
  • Any other assigned operational activities
  • Implement, embed, and maintain the risk management framework elements within the business processes of the organisation
  • Deliver risk management training and briefing sessions
  • Provide risk software (Protecht) training to stakeholders
  • Strengthen, update and maintain the risk management section of the ARA webpages
  • Any other activity or support requested by the Chief Audit and Risk Officer or Risk Business Partner
About You

To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience in the following:
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO 31000:2018 risk management guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability in identifying and analysing risks and making judgements
  • Demonstrated communication skills through productive relationships and resolving conflicts
  • Hold a relevant undergraduate qualification with experience in risk management
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in risk management working in similar roles
  • Any risk certification or CPA desirable
  • Understanding of strategic risk registers
