The Risk Assurance Manager will have the opportunity to help shape the future of this government organisation.
The program being implemented will introduce smarter, simpler systems to transform the way the organisation works and performs for the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring of any portfolio, program and project developments, activities, emerging risks, issue management or concerns.
  • Documenting, reviewing and updating the status of all project risks actions, issues and dependencies (RAID) registers utilising the program PPM tool.
  • Ensuring the accuracy, consistency and relevance of all project registers including running regular workshops to seek updates.
  • Project reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to embrace and manage change in a fast and productive manner.
  • Manages change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Developing, influencing, managing and promoting Quality Management Standards.
  • Liaise directly with Assurance bodies on specific aspects of a submission or project as required.
  • Provide quality assurance for program/project management products such as Business Cases, Project Initiation Documents, Request for Change, End Project Reports (gate reviews).
  • Support project health checks and maturity assessments, ensuring risks and issues have been appropriately identified, reported, mitigated and monitored.
  • Review compliance with quality processes, services and practices to ensure project management activities are consistent with Value Management Office quality guidelines.
  • Lead the development, and continual review and improvement of project delivery quality methodology, practices and processes.
  • Implement and operationally manage PMO processes to ensure that project portfolio is delivered to agreed time and budget and could be monitored for progress as required.
  • Lead and manage a group of professionals in the execution of the Assurance plan which includes the identification of program, portfolio and project delivery risks and controls.

    Key requirements:
  • 5+ years' in a similar role with experience in project support, risk/issues management, assurance, governance and reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and governance practices and methodologies - developing project briefs, project plans, risk management plan, quality plans and communication plans from small to large projects.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of 2 - Risk Analyst and Assurance Analyst
  • Demonstrated experience in leading project assurance activities, maturity assessments and quality assurance for program/project management products.
