About the Organisation:

As part of the Organisation, you will be part of the Science and Technology Group to ensure best practices of Contracts and Agreements Procurement.

About the Role:

These positions process and implement Research related Contracts and Agreements with Academia, Industry, Publicly Funded Research Agencies and other bodies on behalf of Defence Science & Technology Group. They provide operational support to Scientific and Technical (S&T) personnel, establishing agreements with industry, academia and other bodies. You will be required to develop strong internal relationships and support divisional industry and university alliance relationship managers and staff to execute their external engagement program. Most specificially these procurement contracts will support the work programs within the Academic and Research Industry, and experience within this space is highly regarded.

Your Duties will include:

* Establish external agreements from initiation to execution, including providing templates, guidance, providing document advice and a final review on agreements, for senior divisional execution.
* Provide advice, support and policy guidance for external agreements in a timely and accurate manner, and manage external agreements workflow.
* Adhere to internal policies and procedures, providing input for improvement.
* Attend regular team and divisional meetings.
* Perform appropriate records management activities in relation to agreements.
* Understand application of work to the operational environment to provide advice to senior management and stakeholders;
* Interpret and translate information between customers, personnel, senior management and scientific teams to align strategic goals and project outcomes.

What you will bring to the role:
* You must already hold a minimum Government Baseline Security Clearance
* A Scientific or Technical background or an understanding of Scientific and Technical terminology would be advantageous.
* Experience in Government procurement and contract processes and decision making is essential
* You must have strong communication skills, both written and spoken
* Strong Team work skills to meet Orgnisational Needs
* A willingness to learn and participate in training activities
* Accountable for prioritising own work, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes
* Strong Stakeholder and time management skills
