Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Regulatory Support Officer on a contract for 9 months with potential extension of 12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will include the following duties:

  • Manage general procurement and finance workflows
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy, projects or department's administered scheme operation issues
  • For schemes administered by department, interpret legislation, determine and report on compliance with specifications and/or standards and provide advice accordingly
  • Apply work knowledge, precedent and established legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines to situations involving complexity and sensitivity which require considerable interpretation and analysis
  • Assist in managing the risk process, conduct investigations and support quality assurance processes of audits
  • Assist in the preparation of publications, briefing material and analytical reports.

Skills & Experience:

The successful Regulatory support officer will need to have the following experience and skills:

  • Ability to acquire knowledge quickly and prioritise, manage or escalate issues and work
  • Good attention to detail, organisation and communications skills
  • Experience in engaging with stakeholders and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and to work in a flexible environment as part of the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, across teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment
  • Familiarity with government processes and record keeping practices
  • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support program outcomes
  • Experience working in or with the solar industry is desirable
  • Work full-time including 7.5 hours per day five days per week (business days).

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
