The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is looking to engage a Recruitment Consultant for a contract term of 3 months with a well-established NSW Government department. This role will be based in Parramatta with remote working options.

Job Title: Recruitment Consultant

Start Date: 01/09/2022

End Date: 31/12/2022

Pay Rate: $65 per hour + Super

Location: Parramatta, NSW

The Recruitment Consultant will coordinate the Client's end to end recruitment activities on behalf of hiring managers and assist the HR Business Partner with Recruitment and HR initiatives. There are no positions reporting to the role.

Job Specification

In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Open requests to hire on behalf of hiring managers.
  • Write job specifications, job adverts.
  • Develop and design assessment strategy including behavioural based interview questions and work assessment tasks.
  • Assist Hiring Managers with shortlisting and completion of recruitment documentation.
  • Work with Contingent Labour Central team and the recruitment team.
  • Co-ordinate interviews and all associated logistics including but not limited to printing of recruitment packs, booking meeting rooms and on site/online candidate management
  • Report weekly to Hiring Managers and HR on the status of recruitment activities.
  • Organise on boarding for new hires
  • Assist with other HR programs and initiatives as required

About You

To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience in the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in Recruitment with a demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end recruitment activities within the NSW Government.
  • Demonstrated experience with NSW Public Sector Capability Framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing sound GSE compliant recruitment advice to Hiring Managers.
  • High level of interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills with responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flat organisation with diverse cultures.
  • Proficiency in using MS teams, MS Office, excel and TRIM/CM9
