Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS3 Records Officer on a contract for 6 months.

About the Role:

Within the Information function a Registry and Filing Officer is accountable under routine direction to perform and achieve straight forward hardcopy, filing and digital registry work within an integrated workforce.

A Registry and Filing Officer will perform work against established priorities and procedures. They will be responsible for the completion of allocated tasks within required timeframes and procedures which are subject to close monitoring by more senior employees. They may be required to undertake a range of procedural, clerical and administrative support tasks to support their work unit. They will contribute to team discussions to achieve outcomes and will seek assistance when required.

The Registry and Filing Officer may be required to liaise with stakeholder to provide information on straightforward and routine matters to achieve work unit and agency outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

Position Objective/s and/or Duty Statement:

  • Accountable for file preparation, and scanning of physical file
  • Accountable to assess digitised records against the Physical record (file) to ensure a true representation has been created/achieved and meets the required outcomes
  • Accountable to perform and contribute to the registration and filing of hardcopy and digital documentation via work instructions relevant guidelines, & SOPS.
  • under direction catalogue, sentence and dispose of records as appropriate
  • Maintain databases to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Prioritise and direct work tasks, including the registration and maintenance of files and correspondence to ensure completion within a timely manner.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
