Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Records Manager on a contract for 12 Months.

Position Overview

The Records Manager will be responsible for facilitating the effective and efficient management of the client's records management system and processes, provide training to support the records and information management processes supporting adoption of the client's Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), and provision of specialist record keeping training and advice to staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal business units and stakeholders to review information and knowledge management practices.
  • Administer the uploading, review and registration processes of business documentation within the EDRMS.
  • Provide technical support and guidance in relation to the importance of records management and use of the EDRMS.
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of information and knowledge management.
  • Carry out all aspects of records management activities including developing and applying records classification rules to content, archiving and destruction.
  • Assist the team to refine and implement the Records Management Plan.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and instructions and take reasonable care for your own health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate concepts and materials of a complex, conceptual and technical nature simply and clearly to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work in an evolving, challenging environment, with rapidly changing information and commitment to delivering quality products against deadlines
  • Knowledge and 3-5 years' experience in EDRMS
  • Requirement to obtain and maintain relevant national policy check, and security clearance in which Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
  • Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and information.
  • Health and Government Industry experience desirable.
  • Change management and implementation experience desirable.
  • Post Graduate level qualifications, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate with working experience in Records Management desirable
