Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS3 Records Management Officer on a contract until September 2021 with an Extension of 2*6 Months.

Position Overview:
The position will undertake, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Sentencing, cataloguing and auditing of hard copy files and holdings
  • Updating metadata of records
  • Creation of hardcopy and electronic records
  • Digitisation and archiving of physical records
  • Records rationalisation and transfer of non-record documents
  • Coordination of transport of records to and from client sites
  • Engage and liaise with client Records Management team to ensure correct processes
    are followed
  • Liaise and work with Directorates and records management contacts within client to assist
    with records rationalisation
  • Undertaking all duties in accordance with the client Records
    Management Policy Manual (RECMAN) and other relevant Commonwealth legislation
    (including the Archives Act 1983, Freedom of Information Act 1982, Privacy Act 1988,
    Evidence Act 1995, Electronic Transactions Act 1999), National Archives Scanning
    Specifications
  • Other records management and administrative duties as directed
  • Rationalisation, clean and organisation of storage rooms as directed

    The successful candidate should have active Base line security clearance (NV1 preferred).
