Chandler Macleod have an upcoming temporary assignment with our State Government client for an experienced Receptionist/Administration Assistant. This is a 1 year assignment, with a possible extension and located CBD on a Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.00pm full time hours.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:

* Provide timely and professional customer service, answering calls in a respectful manner at all times and identifying and escalating clients requiring immediate legal assistance or interpretation services
* Coordinate and maintain appointment diaries and associated processes including the timely conduct of conflict checks, booking interpreters and ensuring clients receive appropriate information prior to their appointment
* Undertake return telephone calls to Migration clients with assistance of TIS interpreters (if required) under Adviser's instructions
* Maintain the interpreter list to ensure that clients and Advisors receive optimum interpreting services, especially when domestic violence may be involved
* Liaise with the Team Leader, Solicitors and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) registry staff to ensure the efficient coordinator and use of resources when arranging time tables for outreach appointments in relation to Centrelink matters
* Assist the Manager, Team Leader and Solicitors as required including arranging and attending weekly meetings of the Migration lawyers and the AdLG to review caseloads and sending completed Centrelink Intake Forms to the AAT at completion of advice appointments
* Provide a range of administrative support for ALG staff as directed, including verifying interpreter invoices against services provided and providing complete administrative back up for the work groups involved in SACAT and NDIS matters
* Maintain clients records and ensure all statistical data is updated regularly and accurate to enable the reporting that is required under the terms of the program
* Work in a manner consistent with the Code of Ethics of South Australian Public Sector Employees
* Ensure all Work Health and Safety requirements are met and all Commission policies and procedures are complied with

Previous experience:

* Experience as a Receptionist or Administration in an legal environment.

* General knowledge of the legal System, legal processes and welfare would be an advantage

* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
