A Ranger is currently required in Tamworth for one of our Local Government Clients. 

As a Ranger, you will be responsible for providing a technical hands-on operational service in responding to the full range of Environmental, Nuisance and Companion Animal Complaints, utilising the range of legislation administered by the team.

Duties will involve but not be limited to:
  • Attending to customer requests and enquiries
  • Providing specialist information and advice to customers
  • Participating in school and interest group tours
  • Participating in all identified training and development activities within agreed timescales
  • Investigating, reporting on and taking appropriate action regarding the range of compliance matters associated with the Division
  • Identifying and investigating complex breaches of relevant legislation and implement remedial action and legal enforcement actions, where necessary
  • Participating in the delivery of targeted environmental and companion animal programs
  • Following and interpreting instructions as directed by the Supervisor/Manager

Position Specifics:
  • Casual temporary position for an initial period of 6 weeks
  • Potential for extension
  • Monday to Friday: 38 hours per week
Position Requirements:
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Certificate IV in Local Government (Governance and Administration) for Law Enforcement Officers or similar
  • Hepatitis, Tetanus and Q Fever immunisations or willingness to undergo
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
