Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager this role is available due to career progression. If you are looking to move forward in your career with a well recognised, respected brand this role may be what you are looking for.

The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for achieving optimal food safety effectiveness within the company's guidelines, meet customer requirements and achieving other requirements as directed by the Quality Systems Manager.

The position is also responsible for:
* Conducting Quality Control checks as per standard and specification requirements
* monitor product quality as per product specifications
* monitor compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices as per site policy and Animal Welfare as per Australian Standard Code of Practice
* Report non-conformances to the area Team Leader and when necessary to Quality Assurance Manager
* take corrective actions as required and completion of paper work required for the position.

Essential Qualifications/Licences
* Any licences or qualifications as required for the position you have been engaged.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia (legally entitled to work in Australia).
* Successfully assessed as competent in all aspects of Quality Control Training.

Critical Skills & Experience required
* Basic communication skills, both written and oral
* Ability to make quick and correct decisions "on the job"
* Ability to achieve production targets
* A sound knowledge of all food processing guidelines, especially in their areas
* Food Safety and HACCP awareness Training.
* A firm commitment to produce food in a hygienic manner that is safe to eat

Successful candidates will be required to work a rotating day shift/night shift roster.
