Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Quality Assurance Assessors on a contract until June 2022 with potential extension.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking APS5 equivalent Quality Assurance Assessors to undertake assessments within a specific assurance activity.

The position requires the candidate to be well organised, possess strong communication skills, exercise sound judgement, have a keen eye for detail and ideally have experience in auditing or assurance assessment, with strong critical thinking.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • They will be involved with a specific assurance assessment, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, which may include:
  • managing and taking responsibility for individual elements of the assessment phase, monitoring work progress, and managing competing priorities within strict timeframes
  • undertaking and writing analysis on assurance assessments and preparing recommendations for decision makers.

Required capabilities, experience and/or qualifications:

Essential:

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to quickly get across Deed and Guideline requirements.
  • Accurate assessment and recording of data.
  • Delivering high quality work in tight timeframes.
  • Accountable for completion of allocated tasks, being able to self-start, organise and review own work.
  • The ability to assess other assessors'/auditors' work and provide feedback.

Desired :

  • Good IT skills, Word & Excel.
  • Gets along well with people, flexible/adaptable, follows established processes and works well within a diverse team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Discuss issues and find solutions.
  • Quality assures own work and the work of team members.
  • Project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and share information effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in auditing/assessment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
