Chandler Macleod are currently seeking an experienced QA Coordinator to join our client on a permanent basis within the QA team based in Melbourne's West. Our client is a rapidly growing company who specialise in a large range of food products. With over 100 years in the business it is an exciting time to join their team!

This opportunity is not one to be missed, as the QA Coordinator you will report into the QA Manager and facilitate and drive the quality department and oversee the quality officers and production staff to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met every time.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and support of the relevant departments across the business to implement and maintain Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Ensure factory compliance to GMP, HACCP & ISO14001 requirements
  • Coordinate, Review and update QMS documentation and internally auditing
  • Manage HACCP plan within operations
  • Coordinate & help in managing customer complaints including investigation of the root cause of non-conformity of in-coming materials, in-process products and finished products
  • Investigate out of specification results, including packaging, raw materials, finished products or environmental results
  • GMP monitoring of factory, warehouses and offices
  • Coordinate & manage production checks within the factory
  • Help Coordinate Pest control on site
  • Provide project support to ensure compliance or improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Ensure all quality matters and tests are performed in accordance to the test methods provided by customers


To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Science or Food Technology
  • Have proven experience within a Food organisation in a related role
  • Experience in internal audits and dealing with customer audits
  • GMP &/or HACCP qualifications preferred
  • Possess a strong understanding of QA systems and processes within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience in implementing and delivering Quality Improvements
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in developing and maintaining QA procedures
  • Having the ability to communicate with both internal and external stake holders
  • Having excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with everyday issues at a manufacturing level preferably in food products
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills
