Our client, a leading multinational organisation in the mining industry, is looking to recruit a Purchasing Officer to join the existing high performing team based in Brisbane CBD.

This role is rostered as 3 days in office and 2 days at home.

As part of the centralised procurement team, the ultimate responsibility of this role will be to support the remote sites with their procurement /purchasing needs.
This is a high-volume purchasing role and tasks will include:

  • Raising purchase orders using SAP
  • Coaching site members on procurement processes and system usage
  • Coordinating /following up /expediting outstanding orders
  • Identifying efficiencies /cost savings
  • Updating customer records
  • Investigations

In order to be considered for this role, you must have experience in a similar purchasing /procurement role in the mining industry. You will be comfortable in a high volume "transactional" environment and have experience with SAP. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels.
