Job Title: Planning / Purchasing Manager, Construction Fabrics
Contract Type: Temporary with a view to permanent depending on company requirements
Work Days: Monday - Friday (8 hours per day)
Remuneration: From $40 per hour (negotiable)
Location of position: Based in Scoresby
Commencement Date: Immediate start (end date to be confirmed)

We at Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for a highly sought client in Scoresby.

Our client is Australia's leading supplier of insulation, acoustic control and energy saving products for homes and commercial buildings with over 80 years of experience.

As a Purchasing Manager, you will be required to manage the inventory of raw materials based on production requirements and control waste.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities

1. Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables.
2. Raise purchase orders, goods received and process invoices by utilising SAP.
3. Efficiently manage and schedule container deliveries.
4. Backflushing of raw materials consumption.
5. Waste management.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel skills
  • Proficient use of Word and Outlook
  • Highly competent in SAP (Purchasing and Inventory)


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in inventory management
  • Three or more years of work experience in a factory environment.
  • Waste management (including EPA legislative requirements) would be an advantage.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to be fully vaccinated. In addition to this, a pre-employment medical will need to be completed prior to placement.
