Position title: Property / Acquisitions Officer
Contract Estimation Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of extension(s)

Salary / Rate: $30-60 PH (DOE) + Super
Purpose of this position:
To engage the services of suitability experienced and qualified Property Officer to assist with the Special Activation Precincts projects throughout NSW.
General Requirements:

  • Interpret client briefs and develop project proposals and solutions that will achieve time, quality and financial targets and outcomes for clients, the community and government
  • Provide specialist advice on legislation impacting on property acquisitions and transfers to ensure relevant compliance and delivery.
  • Support business development activities to maintain financial viability of the service line.
  • Manage and deliver projects and tasks assigned by the Senior Infrastructure Property Officer, providing financial oversight in accordance with budgets and client expectations.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders including local and state government agencies, valuers, solicitors and landowners in the process of achieving client expectations and project outcomes including facilitating consultant engagement.
  • Complete regular progress reporting and report any issues and challenges to the Senior Infrastructure Property Officer and clients as required, to support timely project invoicing claims.
  • Provide accurate, timely, high quality advice to clients, stakeholders and Government ensuring practices comply with relevant legislation, codes and standards.
  • Maintain and assist in developing an integrated property transaction database and knowledge base for the management and reporting of infrastructure acquisitions carried out by the team.
  • Support and identify the learning and development needs of self and team members and facilitate appropriate action to contribute to the on-going professional excellence of the business unit.
    Technical Scope:
    This role would suit an experienced Property or Acquisitions Officer who is currently working within local or state government. Experience in local or state government infrastructure projects would be desirable. A thorough working knowledge of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act and associated legislation is essential. Adept written and verbal communication skills are also essential for this role.
