  • Role: Property Officer
  • Location: Alice Springs Northern Territory
  • Reporting to: Senior Property officer

    There is a considerable range of legislation, standards and codes that the NDIA must comply within that relate to the ongoing management of its office portfolio.
    The Property Officer - Alice Springs, under broad direction will assist in the facilities support of property in a timely manner and in accordance to the Strategic Property Plan framework that sets out, in a structured way, how best property can be delivered and managed to contribute to the NDIA meeting its strategic objectives and priorities.
    The Property Officer - Alice Springs role will be a reliable and efficient point of contact for Facilities Management with regards to onsite property and fleet matters and will need to provide high quality professional, friendly and respectful management of all enquiries and assigned tasks.
    Duties
    The Property Officer role will be responsible for:
  • Providing thorough information and effective support to internal stakeholders.
  • Support day to day property and corporate activities (eg. property, fleet)
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under limited direction.
  • Additional duties as directed by the Assistant Director, Property - Operations and or Director, Property - Operations
    Skills and Personal Attributes
  • High level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Works collaboratively and pro-actively to support the delivery of property and facilities management within the NDIA.
  • High level of internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with flexibility within a team and to communicate effectively with people at all levels to ensure the smooth, efficient and on time operation of the office.
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner.
  • A high level of computer literacy and experience in the use of Microsoft Office software.

    Desirable
  • Previous experience in working in a commonwealth property environment including facilities management.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.

    Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
