An exciting opportunity now exists with a Local Government department in the Clarence Valley area for a self-driven and experienced Property Officer. You will be responsible for the negotiation and administration of property and land tenure matters to benefit the organisation as well as the wider community.

Why the team needs you
  • Negotiate and administer tenure agreements relating to owned and managed land and roads.
  • Provide oversight to property rental agreements held by third party property managers.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance on all non-tenure related property transactions and reporting.
  • Identify, develop and maintain property and land registers.
  • Review and make recommendations on property system improvements and provide instruction to staff on use.
  • Develop skill in a range of property related activities to support and assist the Property Coordinator.

To be successful in this role you will possess
  • Minimum 3 years in a Property Management or similar position
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer and organisational information
  • Puts the customer and community at the heart of work activities
  • Contributes to the allocation of responsibilities and resources to achieve team/project goals
  • Uses a variety of work tools and resources to enhance work products and expand own skill set
  • Demonstrates passion, enthusiasm and personal dedication to the organisation's vision
