Projects & Outage Scheduler

About the Role

Responsible for managing all aspects of the works schedule that services our project team's objectives and deliverables, the Projects & Outage Scheduler role requires a strong background in scheduling complex multidisciplinary projects.

You will bring a commitment to provide a high quality service to the project management side of our business through exceptional communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to provide accurate and complete business critical schedules.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Execute the strategic direction of outages within the power station in relation to planning, scheduling, contract management and resource management

Develop the outage and projects schedules in close collaboration with internal/external teams from a time, dollars and resources aspect to ensure optimal outcomes

Proactively engage with internal/external teams to ensure schedule progress is accurately captured

Provide scheduling support across the portfolio to project managers, outage managers and others

Monitor schedule progress and performance, providing timely reports and proposed solutions that inform decision making

Take ownership to meet throughout the month with various stakeholders to ensure a regular reporting cadence is maintained

Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress

Manage schedules, critical path, schedule change and variances

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline, Trade or Advanced Diploma (TAFE), Quantity Surveying, Project Management or relevant industry experience

Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience in delivery of large complex multidisciplinary projects with multiple contractors, through the full project life cycle

The ability to organise a project schedule from multiple contractors and incorporate the information into the overall major outage master schedule

A high level of proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Project & Primavera 6 (P6 EPPM & Project Online desirable)

Demonstrated knowledge of CPM and EVM in addition to analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills

A detailed knowledge of relevant power station maintenance and planning and scheduling practices is desirable
