About the organisation:
Our Federal Government client supports the administration and delivery of matters relating to corporate, governance and election readiness functions, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives.

About the role:
An unparalleled opportunity has arisen for a proven project management executive to lead activities relating to a significant election event by aligning people, process and technology around key project outcomes.

Key Duties:

  • Provide operational leadership including setting expectations, ensuring accountability of team members, compliance with policy and procedure and integrity in all outcomes
  • Ensure good corporate governance practices are implemented and maintained by teams
  • Lead assigned project work and associated activities to achieve business outcomes
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate compliance programs to ensure business activities are delivered in line with policy and procedures
  • Establish priorities, monitor progress, actively manage risks and report on outcomes, to deliver required strategic project deliverables for the State/Territory, ensuring current and future agency and stakeholder needs are addressed


Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development and embedding professionalism
  • Sound knowledge and experience in successfully managing and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities
  • A strong understanding of and experience in successfully applying project management methodologies, including the delivery of large scale projects within a highly operational and legislated environment
  • An ability to maintain a logical and rational approach under pressure and in the face of competing priorities
