Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Project Support Officer on a contract until 30/06/2022 with potential extension 12.

About the Role:

The Department is responsible for leading work to develop and deliver a major reform project for all aviation and maritime identification cards schemes.

The Department requires a suitable industry partner with demonstrated expertise and experience in industry engagement including compliance and assurance. The position will assist across multiple aspects of current project administration and may be required to assist in future transformational work that may be identified.

As part of the role, the Training and Implementation Program Specialist will be responsible for producing and contributing to a wide variety of documentation and training materials and will be involved in several initiatives and activities across the agency.

Skills & Experience:

The Industry Partner will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Initiate, build and strategically maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to support business objectives
  • Engage with stakeholders to plan for their information needs
  • Negotiate with external parties and internal stakeholders, and prioritise work in a busy environment
  • Provide expert understanding of processes and advice to guide the project objectives, particularly leading the engagement and development of a reformed operating model.
  • Provide extensive knowledge and understanding of the industry market and specific advice and industry insight on issuing body operations and operating systems to achieve the key milestones of the project.
  • Provide input into the future compliance and assurance models

The Training and Implementation Program Specialist must have the following skills or qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Ability to digest and interpret project and technical information and documentation
  • Ability to interpret the type of competencies required and the best approach based on existing training or training that needs to be developed, or a combination of both
  • Ability to facilitate and deliver training
  • Ability to change plans and reprioritise tasks to remain appropriately focused in a constantly changing environment
  • Be self-motivated and proactive, be able to manage competing priorities, work well under pressure and be able to deliver quality products while meeting tight deadlines.
  • High-level skills in Microsoft Office applications

Methodology:

The expected work methodology is:

  • provide expert understanding of processes and advice to guide the project objectives, particularly leading the engagement with industry through co-design and development of a reformed operating model.
  • Provide extensive knowledge and understanding of the industry market and specific advice and industry insight on issuing body operations and operating systems to achieve the key milestones of the project.
  • Transferring knowledge and skills to departmental staff;
  • Facilitating and conducting requirements progress meetings, presentations and workshops;

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have an Employment Suitability Clearance & Baseline security clearance.
