We are looking for a People, Strategy and Research (PSR) Project Officer on behalf of our client who is a Not-For-Profit company who seeks to promote and defend the industrial, professional, social, political and democratic interests of over 65,000 members. They have over 180 employees including organisers, professionals and administrative personnel, and manage a multi-million-dollar operating budget.

About the role:

The Senior Project Officer is primarily responsible for:

  • Assisting the PSR Project Manager with the management, coordination and facilitation of a range of projects.
  • Facilitate Conversation, Meetings and Workshops.
  • Extract information and distil information into an outcome.
  • Process mapping of complex accounts.
  • Contributing to a range of project management and support services.
  • Preparation of management reporting and briefs.
  • Coordinating resources.
  • Maintaining project documentation.
  • Implementing and monitoring project plans.
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to quality standards and within agreed scope.
  • Deliver Key organisational and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify issues and co-create solutions.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and end user experience.

About You:

As a Senior Project Officer you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar project role.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, critically analyse, evaluate and reach sound conclusions and provide viable options.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and take a collaborative approach to work.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, establish priorities, use initiative and be proactive in raising and dealing with issues.
  • Ability to continually reprioritise work appropriately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to our client's values, purpose and trade unionism in general.
  • Relevant Qualification in project management, strategic management, business process analysis and reengineering or similar.
