The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is looking to engage a Project Officer for a contract term of 6 months with a well-established NSW Government department. This role will be based in Olympic Park.

Pay Rate: $54.45 - 60.27/hr plus super

Job Specification

In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation and coordination of agency projects that deliver effective outcomes and meet service delivery needs.
  • Work as a centralised point of contact for all facilities management related issues for Resilience NSW head and regional offices and provide state wide support with facilities management issues to ensure business continuity and effectiveness.
  • Deliver timely and accurate advice to support the Division to meet its obligations, policies, and procedures whilst maximising benefits and service delivery outcomes.
  • Manage assigned processes ensuring compliance to relevant probity, policy, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide support to those involved in procuring emergency supplies and/or services to ensure preparedness and capacity for surge activity.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support engagement as well as program development and implementation.
  • Deliver on assigned projects within agreed upon deadlines and quality standards using robust project management methodologies and processes to allow for consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders in other agencies to share learnings, innovate and drive process improvements that deliver improved outcomes

Key challenges

  • Managing project interdependencies and prioritising these to ensure objectives, deadlines and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Providing an effective shared service whilst working with differing internal and external stakeholders with varying knowledge bases and requirements.
