Our client a well-known state government agency who are passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit are currently undertaking a $57.5bn program - the largest Australia has ever seen and are seeking an experienced Project Officer- Contract Administrator join their project team for a 6 month contract role.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level a high level of non-technical, organisational, contract and project support to project teams within the respective program office of the Infrastructure Development Division.

  • Manage project documents, including filing and archiving, and provide efficient and accurate preparation and maintenance of project management system documents, records and data to ensure record keeping is in accordance with relevant Agency
    procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide effective contract administration support services to ensure effective preparation and maintenance of contract documents, correspondence and data and the timely payment of contractors.
  • Provide timely and accurate management reports on contract and project performance to assist project teams in achieving project deliverables.
  • Provide effective organisation and logistical support to project teams to ensure administrative functions for project meetings, workshops, inspections and events are accomplished.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and assist with day-to-day activities by working closely with the Major Projects team to provide a high level of administrative and clerical support as well as the timely management of purchase orders, invoices,
    and payments in accordance with Agency procedures.
  • Work within a matrix management structure where support services are embedded within program office delivery teams.

Essential requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination/administration in a project delivery environment or knowledge of project delivery processes and reporting methods.
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of contracts, including using database management systems and corporate financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to research information and effectively prepare written reports, memoranda and correspondence.
