More about the role:

In this role you will be part of a team that is the liaison and advisory for unresolved policy matters in the Disability scheme. This branch works with State and Federal Governments, Disability Ministers, and Officials to assist in negotiations and agreements with policy information and legislation. The team also play a crucial role in managing its interactions with the Royal Commission's and ensuring that responsiveness and investigations are undertaken. As part of this team you will contribute to the ensure that legislation, obligations and priorities align to the enhancement of outcomes to participants and retain integrity.

Your duties will include:

  • Gather and collate documents required under notice, ensuring appropriate consultation with document owners and subject matter experts.
  • Interpret and distil information in order to provide briefings to senior leaders.
  • Assist in discrete project management and coordination tasks.
  • Undertake research, analyse and interpret patterns and trends, and recording findings.
  • Provide thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support for other team members, as required

The Key Requirements you will bring to the role:

  • Relevant experience or tertiary qualifications in the Project space is highly regarded
  • Experience working in the Public Sector or Disability Space is highly regarded
  • A strong understanding of Government policy and legislation,
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with confidence to deliver clear advice.
  • The ability to work proactively in a fast-paced workplace delivering high-quality content often in short timeframes.
  • You need to have strong customer-focussed approaches that work to deliver results of a highly complex nature
  • Resilience in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards.

    You MUST be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and be eligible to clear a national police check to be successful in this role
