Position Title: Project Manager / Engineer - Residential - $10M+ Projects Exp.
Contract Estimation Duration: Contract - 4-5 Months
Company Type / Size: National (Residential) Building Company
Location: Marsden Park - Sydney
Salary / Rate: [$500 - $700 P.D. - NEG. D.O.E.]
Purpose of this position:
We urgently require a "Gun" Project Manager / Engineer / Site Supervisor for our client an established national contractor. The client is a residential specialist contractor who provides support to the commercial and high-end residential market. This a contract position (for the rest of the project duration) which requires a strong background in contractor(s) management. You will be overseeing an indirect crew of 30-60 contractors with 2-3 direct reports. This is a large residential project nearing completion and is in the final stages so you must experience in working in a busy environment with multiple demands from both a personal and administrative perspective. Attention to detail and high organisation skills are essential to work in this Tier 1 environment.
General Requirements:

  • Maintaining client communication and expectations through clear, open and regular client contact.
  • Scheduling subcontractors and suppliers to ensure builds are completed on time and to the highest quality.
  • Keeping the office team up to date with progress on each build via weekly meetings.
  • Supervising WHS policies and practices onsite, conducting toolbox talks and site safety checks.
  • Coordinate and administer quality assurance activities to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Work with Senior Project Managers to ensure construction programs are followed
  • End to end project management experience
  • Stakeholder management
  • Identify and manage construction risk through all projects
  • Assists with the preparation of reports
  • Implements business policy, process and systems across all project activities
  • Provide support for projects to meet client requirements and business targets

    Technical Scope:
     Certificate in construction / licensed
     Supervisors licence
     Drivers Licence
     White Card
     Experience in the Building industry preferably as a supervisor and on the tools start to finish residential home building.
     Excellent communication skills
    Education:
  • You will hold a relevant experience or a Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management.
  • With a minimum of 2-4 years demonstrated project delivery experience, you will have worked with either a client -side PM consultancy, main contractor or consulting engineering firm.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential to ensure a close working relationship with all related stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve the best result for all.
