About the organisation:
Chandler Macleod is proudly partnering with a government organisation that works to upgrade telecommunication networks and partner on major infrastructure projects to support a thriving transport system and make travel and living better for all Victorians.

About the role:
The Project Manager Network Transformation will be responsible in assisting in a number of major infrastructure projects and programmed activities to specification and budget.
Other responsibilities may include:
  • Prepare quotation responses and project plans for works pertaining to the consolidation and relocation of existing copper and optical fibre cable and associated infrastructure.
  • Prepare and/or alter relevant technical and operational documentation required as a result of Project activities.
  • Chair regular team meetings and provide verbal and written project status information to Program Manager.
  • Review, analyse and approve designs of network architecture and detailed fibre designs provided by the Project alliance partners and the Design and Construct contractors.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure that all construction drawings are obtained from the Project Alliance partners and the Design and Construct contractors, reviewed and approved.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to organise required inputs, outputs and reviews in a timely manner.
  • Be the key interface between proponents, alliance representatives and key stakeholders to ensure regular contact is maintained and program of activities is updated through key schedules.
About you:
You will have relevant education and experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:
  • Fully vaccinated to be able to work in the office
  • Tertiary qualification in telecommunications/project management discipline or equivalent
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of communications copper and optical fibre cable network infrastructure and installation methods
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to anticipate and resolve complex programming and scheduling issues
  • Ability to expertly manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders to complete tasks and meet agency goals
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Able to obtain Victorian Rail Safety Accreditation
